Half-Life 2 as (Terrifying) Pixel Art

Does it make anyone else feel devastatingly old that Half-Life 2 is now six-and-a-half years old? I mean, there are kids that can walk, talk, and likely play video games better than me who were not alive when Valve’s wunderkind was released upon the world.

And now I’ve managed to find a video that somehow makes me feel even older. But at least it’s a pretty awesome video; that is, if you’re into things that are almost prohibitively nerdy, and can only really be understood if you’re well-versed in Half-Life 2.

Youtube user R2Bl3nd managed to make a video of Half-Life 2’s introduction with every graphical setting set down to the lowest possible denomination, and the result? Trippy, pixelated magic. Check it out below.
